2023 Gift Guide

2023 Gift Guide

Aloha! Rachel Kuchar here. Gift giving is really an art—trying to find a gift that your loved one will enjoy or connect with. One of my favorite strategies of gift giving is “favorite things” (yes, Oprah may have beat me to it). These are all products that I personally have or are Hawai'i-made 👏 companies that are my favorite. And of course, a beautiful travel print or canvas giclee with a locally sourced handmade frame of a favorite beach/hike/vacation is a great backup plan. 😉 So without further ado, here are my picks for this year!

Ko Hala Rum, Makua Banana Bread, and a Hawaiian Islands Keychain

1. Kō Hana Rum Lilikoi Daiquiri ($15) | Available here.

They also have a slew of recipes on their website that will have you looking like a master mixologist. Available at Foodland & other retailers if you're local.

2. Makua Banana Bread ($13) | Available here.

Is there anything better than the smell of freshly baked bread? Getting your delivery from Makua Banana Bread will spark a similar joy! They deliver anywhere in the U.S. straight from the sunny shores of

Oʻahu.

3. Aloha from the Hawaiian Islands Keychains ($10) | Available here.

Keys to paradise found. Keep your keys close and the island vibes closer with these two-sided vintage-style plastic motel keychains.

North Shore Goods Peanut Butter, Waterman Ukulele, Haleakala Patch

4. North Shore Goodies Peanut Butter ($11) | Available here.

Keys to paradise found. Keep your keys close and the island vibes closer with these two-sided vintage-style plastic motel keychains.

5. The Waterman Ukelele ($29) | Available here.

For a beginner ukulele that will actually stay in tune and comes in fun colors, check out the Waterman Ukulele by Kala. It's great for beachside pau hana or beginners. Way better than the junky drugstore ones for just a few bucks more. I love ours! I even put Sharpie marks on it for my kids to help them learn chords.

6. Maui or Haleakalā Patch ($8) | Available here.

Nick's got two brand new Maui patches joining the collection. One celebrating the magic of  Haleakalā under the stars and a second dedicated to surfing the hollow waves at Honolua Bay

Washi Tape, Midi Dress, Surfer Towel North Shore Surf XL Blanket

7. Lei Punahele Gold Foil Washi Box Set ($20) | Available here.

I still enjoy writing a quick handwritten note or card. Especially when I have some washi tape on hand to jazz it up! I love this set from Kakou Collective. They also have notecards, stickers, and other great stocking stuffers.

8. Ten Tomorrow Midi Dress ($138) | Available here.

Ten Tomorrow has buttery soft casual looks that are made here in  Hawai'i. Bonus, they offer customizations so your piece fits you perfectly!

9. North Shore Surf XL Beach Blanket ($94) | Available here.

This 100% recycled material blanket features several of the North Shore's most famous surf breaks. Can you spot them all?

Body Lotion, Vintage Cocktail Cup, Kona Coffee

10. Lanikai Bath & Body (varies) | Available here.

For the one who has it all...they still gotta wash their hands. They will be delighted with the sweet fragrance of island flora with Lanikai soaps, perfume, candles, and more!

11. Unique Barware (varies) | Available here.

I love a unique cocktail glass & boy this place is loaded! From conch shells to star trek tikis they have it all. Perfect for your holiday party or that hard-to-buy-for uncle.
