Nick's latest collaborative shirt with Kahala (Hawaii's original Aloha Shirt). Heavy Water is dedicated to the spectacle of the colossal swells that make their way to the Hawaiian Islands during the winter months and the watermen (and women) who dare to ride them. Featured in two colorways, Heavy Water celebrates those whose skill in big waves and respect for the ocean are unmatched.
In Kuchar's words, "With the 'Heavy Water' concept I wanted to feature several of these iconic spots and pay homage to wave riders past and present—surfers catching waves at Sunset beach, the perfectly lined-up waves at second and third reef Pipeline, the riders dropping in at Waimea, and the magnificent wave at Pe'ahi off in the distance. The loosely rendered sea spray above the wave's crest hints at those offshore wind days where the waves are glassy, lined up and all is right with the world."
