In the process of revitalizing their "Pataloha" brand, Patagonia contacted me to create some new shirt art. Pataloha, is a division of Patagonia that was started by Rell Sun in 2002. This was the beginning of an effort to revive it and bring Hawaiian aloha spirit and design to the popular and eco-responsible Patagonia brand.
The first concept features an Alaia board and hand-lettered text.
The other is an homage to Hale'iwa and the thriving paddling community here in the islands.
